Many people beleive that animal engineering is wrong or unethical because you are making animals grow or with unnatural speed, or produce way more than they should. Also the companies are not telling the public what animals they are engineering, which makes the public suspicious. Many animal activists groups are worried about the animals safety during engineering. Many animals have died during engineering. "Typically only 1% of injected eggs will result in live birth containing the transgene." Says David Gillespie, author of "Pharming For Farmaceuticals". It seems like a sketchy process, but the FDA has approved some of it, so it should be alright, but they are still trying to make regulations.
